2012 Men's Inner Club Tournament Descriptions

Kick-Off Open
Date: Sunday, May 6
Entry Fee: $25.00 per man
Format: A B C D Draw (1) Best Ball of the foursome - 85% Handicap- 2 birdie pools AB & CD
Note: Stroke off the course
Deadline: Sign up by Thursday May 3
Buffet Breakfast will be served after the morning group and before the afternoon group.
Any necessary decisions will be made by the tournament committee. These decisions are final.

Four Ball
Date: Saturday, May 12 to qualify, Play dates May 19, 20, 26
Rain Date: May 27
Entry Fee: $25.00 per man, select your own partner
Format: 85% handicap, Two man team, Match play stroke off low man in foursome
To Qualify: 2 man best ball 85% handicap, Stroke off the course Top 16 teams qualify for championship bracket.- If a tie for the last qualifying position occurs, there will be a match of cards from #1 stroke hole.
Note: All scorecards must be turned in. Net par for all holes that are unfinished.
Deadline: sign up by Thursday, May 10 @ 5:00 PM
Any necessary decisions will be made by the tournament committee. These decisions are final.

McManus Cup
Date: Saturday, May 26
Entry Fee: $5.00 per man Pro Shop Tournament. sign up in your own group, pay in the Pro Shop the day of the Tournament.
Format: Individual Medal, Full handicap, Triple bogey max
Deadline: sign up in your own group

Harney Johnson Cup
Date: Sunday, May 27
Entry Fee: $5.00 per man Pro Shop Tournament. sign up in your own group, pay in the Pro Shop the day of the Tournament.
Format: Individual points, AB & CD Prizes

Gannon Cup Memorial Day
Dates: Monday, May 28
Entry Fee: $25.00 per man
Format: A B C D Draw (2) Best Ball of the foursome - 85% Handicap

Prizes: Gross and Net prizes, 2 birdie pools AB & CD. Buffet Breakfast provided by the GBA

Chris Danahy Four Man Classic
Date: Saturday & Sunday, June 9 & 10
Entry Fee: $50.00 per man
Format: A B C D draw (2) Best Balls of the foursome - 85% Handicap - 2 birdie pools AB & CD
Note: Stroke off the course, tournament will be reduced to one day if there is a rain out
Deadline: Sign up by June 7 @ 5:00 PM

Father Son/Daughter
Date: Sunday, June 17
Entry fee: $15.00 per player, ($5.00 towards lunch from menu)
Format: Members only 16 years old minimum, M G A Qualifying event. Two (2) Man Scotch- alternating shots after selecting best tee ball

Ouimet Scholarship Fund
Date: Wednesday, July 4
Entry Fee: $25.00 per man
Format: Two (2) best ball of foursome - 85% handicap Two separate ding pools - AA/BB Draw - CC/DD Draw
Two (2) Separate flights, 2 seperate winners, pools & birdie pools
Note: $10 donation will be made to the Ouimet Scholarship Fund
Deadline: sign up by July 2 @ 5:00 PM

Gannon Member Guest
Date: Saturday July 7
Entry Fee: $160.00 per team, 2 flights - morning & afternoon, dinner served
Format: Two (2) Man Best Ball 18 holes - 85% handicap- if guest doesn’t have a MGA or USGA handicap, the Tournament Committee will determine
Deadline: sign up by Thursday, July 5 (or when field is full- FIRST IN PLAYS )
Prizes: Gross, Net, & Calloway winners in each flight. One Ding Pool each flight, Closest to pin on holes 6 & 14 each flight.

Club Championship
Date: July 21, 22 Finals July 28, 29
Entry Fee: $25.00 per man
Format: Match play - Top 8 qualify
Deadline: signup by July 19 @ 5:00 PM

Senior Club Championship
Date: July 22
Entry Fee: $ 25.00 per man - pay in Pro Shop
Format: 2 Flights, player must declare which flight they will compete in
Main (Open) Flight : 50 & Up
A Flight: 60 & Up 85% Handicap
Deadline: July 19 @ 5:00 PM
Any necessary decisions will be made by the tournament committee. These decisions are final.

Happy Valley Silver Classic
Date: August 4 & 5 (Rain Date August 12)
Entry Fee: $100 per man - pick your own partner
Format: Two man best ball - 85% Handicap Team handicap minimum total is 19,
Handicaps to qualify on July 15th postings, play as of August 1st. In case of a tie for first place, a play-off will determine the winner.
Starting on hole 1, If plus handicaps, cards will be adjusted.
Deadline: sign up by August 2 @ 5:00 PM
Note: This tournament is for Gannon Men’s Inner Club Members, all new Gannon Men’s Inner Club Members by definition cannot play in this tournament

Happy Valley Gold Classic
Date: August 25& 26 (rain date September 9) Must be able to play all dates
Entry Fee: $100.00 per man, pick your partner.
Format: Two man best ball - 50% Handicap Team handicap minimum total is 11, Handicaps posted August 1st will be used by qualifing team cap. Play by August 15th handicaps. In case of a tie for first place, a play-off starting on the first hole will determine the winner.
Deadline: August 23 @ 5:00 PM Early/Late Tee times (no requests)
Note: This tournament is for Gannon Men’s Inner Club Members, all new Gannon Men’s Inner Club Members by definition cannot play in this tournament

Fall 4 Ball
Date: September 15, Play dates September 16, 29 & 30 Rain date October 6
Entry Fee: $25 Per Playr, Pick your own partner
Format: 85% handicap, two man teams, Match play, stroke off low handicap in the foursome. Top 16 Teams advance
Deadline: Thursday September 13 @ 5:00 PM

Fall Member Guest (Wednesday)
Date: September 26 , (12:00 Shotgun) rain date October 3
Entry Fee: $120.00 per team - includes dinner
Format: Two (2) Man Best Ball 18 holes - 85% handicap- if guest doesn’t have a MGA or USGA handicap, the Tournament Committee will determine handicap. 18 shot max.
Prizes: Gross, Net & Calloway team, 1 birdie pool Closest to pins: Hole 6 & 14 each flight
Deadline: Sunday September 23, 64 teams maximum, (32 foursomes) - First to Pay Plays

Field Day/Election Day
Date: Sunday, October 7
Entry Fee: $20.00 per man- includes dinner
Format: Points- make your own foursome or sign up in Pro Shop as singles
Note: Double Shotgun: AM and PM Flights
Prizes: Individual & Team prizes Two (2) Ding Pools 0-15 and 16 & up
Closest to pins: All par 3's
Deadline to sign: sign up by October 4 @ 5:00 PM

Date: Saturday & Sunday, October 13& 14
Entry Fee: $50.00 per man
Format: A B C D Draw Scramble, 1 best ball per foursome
Required Drives: A Player = 5 Drives B Player = 4 Drives C Player = 3 Drives D Player = 2 Drives
Deadline: sign up by October 11 @ 5:00 PM
Note: No rain date Any necessary decisions will be made by the tournament committee. These decisions are final.

Turkey Shoot
Date: November 3 & 4 Entry Fee: $5 Per player
Format: Points
Deadline: Sign up in your own group, pay in the pro shop the day of the Tournament.
Prizes: Gift Certificate for Turkey
