Gannon Ladies Hold Fall 4 Ball Gannon Ladies held their last major tournament of the 2010 season, the Fall 4 Ball. Two day net score, 85 % handicap. Winners were Tara Friedman and Carol Mills, with a two day best ball net score of 133. Second place was won by Lorraine Mills and Jane Fiste with two day best ball net score of 134. Third place was a tie between Cathy Breslow and Nancy Patten and Barbara Zihal and Ann Dawson with a two day best ball net score of 136. Third Place was a three way tie of 139 with Chris Lynch and Linda Baum, Ann Frasier and Laurie Lynch, and Nancy Gheringhelli and Eloise Deveney.
Another Course Record set at Gannon Gannon Pro, Mike Foster and Gannon Ladies Innerclub President, Jay Varriano present a plaque to Gannon Member Anne Fraser who set a Ladies course record with a low round of 69 on June 13th. Fraser became a member of the Gannon Ladies Innerclub last year and proceeded to set the course record as well as being crowned Club Champion this year. Other team winners were in second place Dawn Baribeau, Julie Lombara, Pauline Bellamo and Sue Mulholland. Third place team winners were Gina Mantino, Chris Lynch, Barbara Zihal and Angela Gilbert.
Gannon Ladies hold Miss Liberty Tournament July 4th The Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their annual Miss Liberty Tournament on July 4th. Ladies play their round of golf by teeing off alternating hitting from the red tees, the white tees and the blue tees. The winner of the Individual tournament was Stephanie Jenis with a net score of 66. The winners of the team tournament were Ann Dawson, Nancy Gheringhelli, Carol Mills and Mary Pigott with a best ball net score of 56. Other individual winners were, in second place, Pauline Bellamo with a 70 net score, 3rd was Trish DeAngelo with a net score of 71.
Ladies Classic Winners In conditions that were better suited for the ducks and geese that call the ponds home at Gannon Golf Course, the 2010 Gannon Ladies Classic once again provided another in a series of spectacular finishes that have become the norm lately.

Mixed Chapman Tournament held at Gannon The Gannon Innerclubs held their Mixed Chapman tournament on June 26th. Ladies choose a partner from the Men's Innerclub to play together. Each hit their drive off the tee, then the men hit the ladies drive and the ladies hit the men's drive. They choose which ball to hit by alternating shots into the cup. Patty Roderick and Ben Friedman played an outstanding round of golf together with Friedman's expertise to get on the green in regulation and Roderick's outstanding ability to sink the putt in one. They took the tournament with a net score of 59.2. Tournament handicaps were figured on 60% of the low cap and 40% of the high. Second place was won by Nancy Gheringhelli and Wayne Johnson with a net score of 61.6 and third place was a family tie by Lynnette and Bob Roy with a net score of 63.2 and Marilyn Bonneau and Matt Roy also with a net score of 63.2.
Gannon Ladies Hold Spring 4 Ball Tournament Starting on June 5 th and 6 th, the Gannon Ladies held their first major tournament of the 2010 season, the Spring 4 Ball. The 5 th and the 6 th were the qualifying rounds that brought the tournament field down to 4 teams to compete on June 12th and 13th. On Sunday, June 6th , the rain caused an hour delay in the tournament, where 6 groups had to go back out to complete their round, only 4 finished before the sky's opened up again and play had to be stopped with the teams on the 18th hole. With 2 teams having to go out and finish their round early on June 12th, those qualifying for the semi finals and finals were, in first place Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman, in second place was Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara in third place was Jane Fiste and Linda Courtemanche and in fourth place was Dawn Baribeau and Ann Dawson. The competition for the semi and the finals was very tight, with no team being more than 2 strokes up at any point. On the semi final round on June 12th, both matches came down to the 18th hole where Mary Hunt made the putt to win her and Julie Lombara's match against Jane Fiste and Linda Courtemanche. Only Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman tied Dawn Baribeau and Ann Dawson on the 18th hole , to go into sudden death, where they took 1st place for the semi finals, but not until the 3rd sudden death hole. The Finals on June 13th were equally as tight where both matches went down to the 18th hole. Dawn Baribeau and Ann Dawson were even with Jane Fiste and Linda Courtemanche on the 18th and their match ended with a tie. Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara won the tournament on the 18th as well, against Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman.
Gannon Ladies Kickoff the 2010 Season The Gannon Ladies Innerclub started off the 2010 Season on Saturday, May 15 th with the first tournament of the year, the A/B/C/D – Throw it Out – 2 Best Balls of the 4-Some – 2 Holes on each side thrown out. First place, with a -12 was won by: Dawn Baribeau, Patty Roderick, Elaine Faithful and Angela Gilbert 2nd Place (Match of Cards) -10 3rd Place -10
