Ladies 2012 Tournament Results Gannon Ladies Kick off 2012 ( Elaine Faithful, Sue Vaters , Mary Hunt and Patty Hale) The Gannon Ladies Inner Club kicked off the 2012 Season with a Shamble tournament on Saturday May 5 th. A and B played together and C and D played together taking one best ball from each, two best balls for the foursome. Winners with a score of -8 at 134 were Mary Hunt, Elaine Faithful, Sue Vaters and Patty Hale. Second place, with a score of -1 at 141 were Nancy Gheringhelli, Mary Kelter Strom, Sue Mulholland and Barbara Crowley. Third and Fourth place, a tie with a score of even, at 142 were Gail Hickey, Stephanie Jenis, Denise Carney and Dianne Reppucci and Julie Lombara, Juanita Grass, Pat Podrug and Mary Mondello.
Hole in One Sue Vaters, a member of the Gannon Ladies Inner Club, hit a hole in one on April 21 st, on the 6 th hole, par 3 using a 3 wood.

The Gannon Ladies celebrated Memorial Day with a tribute tournament, the Janice Vance Memorial Tournament, held at Gannon Golf Course. Winners of the ABCD team were Ann Dawson, Mary Kelter-Strom, Jay Varriano and Angela Gilbert with a -16 team score. In Second place, with a -9 team score were Judy Johnson, Helen Sidman, Carolyn Monaco and Barbara Crowley. In Third place, with a -5 team score were Nancy Gheringhelli, Juanita Grass, Maureen Putney and Linda Corbett.
Winners of the Janice Vance Memorial Golf Tournament are Jay Varriano, Angela Gilbert, Mary Kelter-Strom and Ann Dawson. Gannon Ladies continue Spring 4 Ball Tournament. Gannon Ladies continued their first Major four ball tournament of 2012 this past weekend and play the final round on June 16th. Lorraine Mills and Kathy Jauron beat Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara 2 to 1 to play the finals against Elaine Faithful and Gail Conlon who beat Colleen Richards and Nancy Patten also 2 to 1.

Gannon Ladies Innerclub held the final round of their first major tournament of the 2012 season on June 16th with a great win by Lorraine Mills and Kathy Jauron 1 up over Elaine Faithful and Gail Conlon. After being up 2 on the 12 hole, Mills and Jauron found themselves down one at the 15th, where they came back to tie and finally won it on the 18th. In the 3rd and 4th place round, Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara had a 4 AND 3 win over Colleen Richards and Nancy Patten.

Gannon Innerclub held Mixed Chapman Tournament
The Gannon membership held the Mixed Chapman, June 23rd run by Cathy Breslow and her crew, Nancy Gheringhelli and Joyce Agganis. The Mixed Chapman pairs a Ladies Innerclub member and a Men's Iinnerclub member as partners. Both tee off and then the Men hit the Ladies tee shot and the Ladies hit the Mens. Then choosing the best ball, alternate shots into the hole. Winners of the 2012 Chapman were Peg Burke and John Lewis with a 63.0 Second place was Jim McKeever and Janet Wallce with a 63.2 Third place was Jim and Pauline Bellomo Fourth place was a tie between Bill and Chris Ouellette and Dick Lyle and Jaunita Grass with a 64.2

Gannon Ladies Hold Cancer Cup Tournament The Gannon Ladies Inner Club held their Cancer Cup Tournament on July 8th and raised $235 for charity. Winners of the Trip 6's tournament are:
Winners of the Gannon Cancer cup Gannon Ladies crowns new Club Champion. Gannon Ladies Inner Club, had a huge fight to the finish on the final leg of the Ladies Club Championship on Sunday July 29th. Both the Net Division and the Gross Division was a battle taken to the 18th hole. Winning the Club Championship for the first time was Ann Dawson, who beat Jane Fiste one up. The Net Division winner was Chris Lynch who beat Julie Lombara also one up.

Each member brings one non member friend to play golf at the Gannon Golf Course. It was a 4 person team best ball tournament. Winners in the Net were Judy Johnson and her partner Tara Friedman and Lynnette Roy and her partner Holly Pace with a Net 119. 6th Place with a net 125 was Sue Vaters and her partner Zoe Haskell and Denise O'Connor and her partner Jennifer Warren 7th Place with a net 125 was Nancy Patten and her partner Elaine Gannon and Cathy Breslow and her partner Chris Breslow

Chris Gould, Mary Hunt, Ann Dawson, Kathy Pingree Gannon Ladies hold Major Ladies Classic Tournament Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their Ladies Classic two day tournament on August 18th and 19th. Winners were Patty Roberts and Mary Mondello with a two day net score of 131. Close behind them were Joyce Agganis and Colleen Richards with a net score of 132. Third place with a net score of 135 were Jane Fiste and Cathy Breslow. Fourth place with net score of 136 were Ann Dawson and Laurie Lynch Fifth was a 3 way tie between Pat Podrug and Jay Varriano, Pat Ryback and Judy Johnson and Kathy Jauron and Gina Mantino,(who shot a 79 on Saturday)
Ladies Classic Winners Mary Mondello and Patty Roberts Fiste's prevail again in Gannon Mixed Classic Jane and Jay Fiste win the Gannon InnerClub's Mixed Classic two day tournament this Labor Day weekend with a two day score of -16. They also won the low round of the day for Saturday, with a -9. Second place, with a score of -15 was Pauline and Jim Bellomo, who also won the low round for Sunday with a -10, Third place was a tie with a -14 between Carol Boom Boom Bonner and her partner John Spencer, and Mary Jello Mondello and her partner Wayne Johnson. Fifth place with a -13 was won by Patty Roberts and Steve Hayward Sixth place with a -12 was won by Janet Wallace and Jim McKeever Seventh place was a three-way tie, with -11 was Nancy Patten and Jim Stafford, Gina Mantino and Matt Civiello and Lorraine Mills and Fred Riley.
Winners of the Gannon Mixed Classic Jay and Jane Fiste Dawson wins again After winning the Gannon Club Championship on July 29th, Ann Dawson has been crowned again in the Senior Club Championship with a two day total score of 160. She came in tied with Mary Hunt and forced a sudden death. Dawson birdied the first hole to win the Championship. Joyce Agganis took third place with a two day score of 176 and Lorraine Mills took fourth with a 193. In the Net Division. Linda Courtemanche won the Net Title with a two day net score of 149. In second place, Juanita Grass won it with a 153 and Peg Burke took third with a 157.

Gannon Ladies Sue Mulholland and Carol Bonner won the last major tournament, the Fall Ball, with a two day net score of 136.2. Very close in second place was Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman with a two day net score of 136.4. Third place was won by Denise O'Connor and Mary Mondello with a 137.4 fourth place was won by Pat Rybak and Barbara Zihal with a 138.6 and 5th place was won by Chris Lynch and Jay Varriano with a 140.2.
Gannon Fall Ball Winners Carol Bonner and Sue Mulholland Gannon Golf of Lynn and Beverly Golf and Tennis Clubs Hold Ryder Cup Tournament
Beverly Golf and Tennis Club challenged Gannon Golf of Lynn to a two day Ryder Cup Tournament on October 20th and 21st. Saturday , the 20th , was at Gannon Golf course and consisted of 2 player scramble on the front nine and for the back nine, a 2 player one best ball. Gannon Players took the days' tournament by storm and came out with a 17 - 7 lead overall. Sunday, the 21st , was played at Beverly Golf and Tennis with Sunday being a select best drive and alternating shots on the front nine and the back nine played individual match play. Beverly players came roaring back on the individual play but not enough to beat Gannon, who walked away with the first annual Ryder Cup trophy with a total two day score of 37 - 25. Tournaments were organized by Beverly Pro Dave Dion and Gannon Men's Innerclub President Tom Mannion.
